LINK BAITING SECRETS YOU SHOULD KNOW

Tag: SEOadmin @ 8:23 pm

Many has been said regarding link baiting, but the main concept underlying it is just a matter of producing content that would grab the curiosity of people for them to link it. To date, its popularity has been attributed to the fact that it is one of the linking strategies approved by the search engine Google.

Why link bait?

You may be puzzled why people have been so concerned in baiting for links; the actual reason is to generate massive traffic. This significant traffic can only be achieved if you have high position from top search engines or Page Rank, the higher your page rank the better the chance that your website lands on the first page of browser results.

The secret

Your key to success would largely be dependent on your content, and in order for you to get a good content you must consider the following criteria:

Title as a good eye catcher

Just like in offline publications, your title is your first item towards success. If you won’t be able to present a good title then you have the least option to be read and to be linked back. Title is truly everything, that’s why most writers devote sufficient time in the creation of title that will surely grasp the attention of the readers.

Taking advantage of links and how-to articles

People want to learn things on a step-by-step basis, that’s why they choose write-ups which are easy to comprehend and employ. Today is no longer the moment of poetic lengthy write ups, but instead readers prefer bulleted articles with outlines which they could scan through.

Tackle the buzz

Naturally, people want to be updated on matters happening around them, you can take full advantage of this by making factual articles on the latest buzz on people, politics, science and gadgets.

Nonconformist thinking

Deviating from the norms is also a good method in link baiting. As always the newest craze happens to be a weird idea put into action.

Inject personality

Having a distinct character through your content is also a good tool, because people remember article writing style which is incomparable to others. Look at newspaper editorials, thousands of daily readers follow a certain writer due to his distinct way of seeing things.

Using these secrets will result to a powerful content that surfers will link to with much excitement, and before you know it you have your site rising up the page rank.

LINK BAITING by CONTROVERSY

Tag: SEOadmin @ 2:24 am

A good public relation skill goes a long way in building an off line business. If you apply this same concept with the web industry, you may call this skill as Link baiting.

This method has been one of the most effective in getting one-way traffic towards any sites. Attracting surfers to your website will make your page rank climb up among the major search engines. Actually, the concept of link baiting is not a fresh idea in the web industry. If you think of it under the light of book publication, it is the creativity of the author coming up with a good story in order for his book to amass millions of sales. Employing the same idea online, you have to use your inventive side in order to generate link-worthy articles, or blog entries which will make people link to your website.

In the same manner, you can also use the same practice employed by most offline publishers for your website. Among their popular methods is the use of controversy. It has been a fact in the reading segment of the society that controversial write-ups always sell like hotcakes. The reason up to now is still unclear but it has been evident in our society these days.

There are some people who fancy critiquing others to rouse controversy, for instance you may pass judgment on a certain professional in your society who has been making news lately. If you settle for this option, it is best to be certain that you are aware of what you’re getting involved with, otherwise you’d only end up making a fool of yourself and obtaining a pleasant traffic just temporarily.

TWO-THUMBS UP FOR K810i –- THE CAMERA PHONE

Tag: IPHONESadmin @ 11:44 pm

Ever since camera phones became a trend a few years ago, mobile phone companies have been competing to come up with the best designs. The digital camera market has actually suffered because of this. Of course, most users choose to be practical and choose a gadget with a double purpose – a mobile phone and a digital camera in one – over the stand – alone digital camera. Most mobile phones already exhibit the same or at least a similar quality in terms of image capturing to digital cameras.

Following this development, Sony Ericsson has launched a series of high – quality digital camera phones in its K series collection, with the K810i being the best among the lot. The K810i, besides being very slim, trendy and portable, is also multi – functional. It has a 3.2 megapixel camera, with auto-focus and xenon flash. Captured images are vibrant and of excellent quality. Just like its predecessor, the K800i, pictures and videos can be shared via MMS or email, or can be blogged in a Blogger blog, which the handset will automatically set up.

This new design also comes with an array of other useful functions such as entertainment features like music player, ringtones and mobile games. Music tracks can also be downloaded from the internet. It also supports an expandable memory card – Memory Stick Micro – to enable you to store more of your favorite tracks. The inclusion of Bluetooth and USB connectivity options enables one to share files (music or otherwise) to and from PC’s, laptops and other handsets having the same features. K810i is also equipped with 3G connectivity, offering its user excellent voice and data solutions. Even with such a small and compact phone, you can access high speed Internet and stay connected with anybody from any part of the globe.

The handset also has and FM radio which has good audio quality, along with the MP3. However, it doesn’t have a 3.5 mm earjack so you can’t plug your own earphones for an enhanced listening experience. If you prefer to listen wirelessly, you can use a pair of Bluetooth headphones which also produces good sound quality.

Among the camera phones in the market, this is arguably one of the best. Its predecessor, the K800i is rated by some critics as the best camera phone available so far. It therefore came as a disappointment that K810i, although every bit as functional and as good a camera phone as K800i, doesn’t possess any significant change expected of it. In general however, if you’re looking for an excellent camera phone, K810i is worth considering.

MOTOROLA Razor family

Tag: IPHONESadmin @ 3:57 pm

Motorola’s Razor family, which includes the highly successful Razr v3, is expanding with the inclusion of four more offspring: the pink and blue version of the original Razr v3, CDMA RAZR for use by Verizon subscribers, and Razr v3i which boasts of an Apple iTunes software.

Motorola has made a substantial financial gain from the remarkable success of Razr v3. Originally available only in silver, Motorola has pushed the limits of fashionable mobile communication with the release of the pink and blue versions. This fashion statement is hoping to catch the eyes of the trendier mobile phone users. Of course, it’s not all just chic and style. Just like its predecessors, it also has other great features designed to satisfy its user.

Verizon subscribers can stop coveting Cingular and T-Mobile’s Razr lines when the CDMA RAZR makes it debut. Razr v3i is also a must – have especially for music buffs. Although Motorola has been behind when it comes to MP3 phones, it’s hoping to change the scene with the Razr v3i. Elegantly slim just like the original v3, Razr v3i boasts of its MP3 capability and its Apple iTunes software. It definitely is an advancement of Motorola’s Rokr which plays tunes from the iTunes Music Store but does not support MP3.

Other features to check out for Razr v3i are its 1.23 – megapixel camera which can capture vibrant and lively images as well as videos, has a zoom of up to 8x, and a full – screen viewfinder; a display which can provide users with 65K colors; a hot plugging memory card and a built – in Bluetooth.

Motorola has actually become a threat to Nokia’s leading position when Razr v3 was released. A profit of $1.75 billion and revenue of $9.42 billion is a clear proof of such success. Furthermore, Motorola captured 30% of the cell phone sales in the 3rd quarter of 2005. With the release of v3’s successors, Motorola is hoping to further widen its share of the cell phone market.

EXCELLENT IMAGING FROM NOKIA N95

Tag: IPHONESadmin @ 2:41 am

Nokia hangs on to the top spot in the list of mobile manufacturers for a reason. Every product produced and released is first subjected to meticulous research. All functionalities that have to be incorporated should be well – thought out before the design goes to fruition.

One of the products of this thorough research is the N95, which debuted in the market in September 2006. Since then it has been one of the most in demand mobile phones. What makes this smart phone so popular? Well, just like most Nokia phones, it has a user – friendly messaging system. You can send SMS, MMS and e-mail and can use the predictive messaging feature to connect with anybody in any part of the globe.

N95 boasts of an innovative two – way slider design. You can slide the front cover up to access the alphanumeric pad and slide it down to uncover the media player controls. But what makes this handset high – end are its 5 megapixel camera, an integrated GPS module, and its well – built media player with a 3.5mm jack connector for earphones.

Its excellent imaging is probably one of the best features of this smart phone. Images captured using the phone have vibrant colors and feel almost alive. Just like an actual digital camera, the settings can be customized depending on the user’s taste and the situation –- close – up portrait and night mode are just some of the options. The brightness, contrast and color tones can also be adjusted in order to capture the perfect image. Videos can also be recorded up to a certain length of time. Editing options for both pictures and videos are available.

Aside from videos, N95 can also play music and supports audio and video formats such as MP3, WMA, W4A, AAC and AAC+. Earphones can be plugged into the 3.5 mm ear jack for an enhanced listening experience.

Several wireless features are available such as GPS receiver, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and an infrared port. Probably the downside of such a trendy phone is it does not work on the United States’ 3G network. This is a setback considering that N95 is considered advanced and most people would expect it to have 3G support.

N95 has about 150 MB of internal memory but it can support up to 2GB of expandable media. It has four hours of talk time and up to nine hours of standby time. However, because this phone boasts of its multimedia capacities, the use of such features takes a toll on the battery life of the phone and the battery can be drained only after a day of continually using multimedia features.

As a whole, the pros certainly outweigh the cons and owning this trendy smart phone would certainly bring its user prolonged delight.

Tag: Internetadmin @ 4:18 am

For those who want to engage in Pay per Click advertising, it may be helpful to know which Pay per Click Search Engines are the most popular ones in the market. Going for popular search engines will ensure significant increases in traffic. Furthermore, their popularity means that they have their reputation at stake and are therefore proclaimed to be the most trustworthy. Below is a list of the most popular Pay per Click search engines available online.

1. Google AdWords. This is proclaimed to be the best and its operations are the biggest among the others. It is reliable in terms of generating high quality traffic and it is easy to use. Although their registration fee is just US$5 and they set a minimum bid of only US$.01, subscribers usually have to pay much more than this to achieve their targeted page ranking. This is due to the number of competitors per keyword brought about by its popularity.

2. Yahoo! Search Marketing. This is a highly favored search engine for its Pay per Click services. Like Google AdWords, it is known to significantly increase high quality traffic and charges only US$5 for registration. Although minimum bid prices do not go as low as Google’s, competition for keywords are not as extensive.

3. ABC Search. This brings fairly decent increases in traffic. Although ad views will increase as much as other search engines, this one is more focused in terms of attracting specific users therefore increasing the quality of visits rather than the quantity. The minimum deposit is much higher at the rate of US$25.

4. SearchFeed. This is favored mostly for their ability to target focused groups of users within eleven different countries. With a registration fee of US$25, the increase in the volume of traffic it generates is favorable for returns on investment.

5. 7Search. This is highly regarded for its interface. Although it is one of the smaller search engines, it is known for the quality of views it generates. Even at the registration rate of US$25, which is five times higher than that of Yahoo! and Google, they still claim to produce higher returns on investment.

6. MIVA. This is one of the most underrated search engines available. Although it is not as large and it seems quite pricey with registration fees amounting to US$50, it is able to generate high quality results through its focused targeting.

7. Enhance Interactive. Also at US$50 per entry registration, it is one of the newer search engines that are highly regarded for their quality. It is very strict with quality control and is therefore trustworthy in terms of generating traffic of high value.

8. Microsoft AdCenter. With a popular brand name backing it, it is not surprising that it has become one of the big players so quickly. Registration is US$5 which is cheap for its popularity with internet users. However, its interface is not fully developed yet which could cause problems with users.

DEFINING PAY-PER-CLICK ADVERTISING

Tag: Internetadmin @ 2:11 am

If you are a website owner and are looking for ways to market your website, Pay-Per-Click Advertising is definitely something you should look into. Pay-Per-Click advertising, now commonly known as PPC, is a model developed by search engines. Through this, advertisers need not spend on ineffective advertising. Because they only have to pay when internet users clicks a link to their website, advertisers can be sure that they spend only on the traffic their advertisements generate. This type of advertising model is commonly used by search engines and content network websites.

For search engines, PPC works very simply. Website owners study the content of their web pages and gather keywords their target market would most likely enter in search engine query boxes. For each of these keywords, advertisers have to place a bid price. When an internet user searches for these keywords, the links to the website appear as sponsored links. Depending on the search engine, these sponsored links may either appear in a separate box at the side of the page or at the top of the list with some distinction from the rest of the search results. The higher the bid of the website owner, the higher the link will appear on the list making it more visible to search engine users. Each time internet users click on sponsored links, the advertiser will be charged the bid price.

PPC advertisements are also very effective in content network websites. Here, website owners leave spaces in their websites for advertising and subscribe to ad networks. These ad networks’ role is to provide links to websites whose content are relevant or similar to that of the page where they can be found. The most popular of these ad networks include Google Adsense and Yahoo! Publisher Network. Unlike in search engines, keywords do not have to be searched. They simply appear on the space provided in the website. Visits to these links from the websites wherein they appear are tallied. Upon reaching a predetermined number of visits, the ad network must pay the website owner. This model can also be used by direct advertising. This way, website owners who want to advertise in other web pages may do so using the same model without having to go through ad networks.

Although PPC is known to be a very effective online marketing strategy, they can be very costly. Bids per click can go anywhere from US$0.01 to US$999.99. If you bid the maximum for a keyword or key phrase in order to appear at the top of the search results, each time an internet user visits your website through these sponsored links, you will be charged US$999.99.

For this reason, it is not enough to bid high to appear at the top of the list. You must first determine how much of your budget you can actually spend to become one of these sponsored links in order to still generate income per user’s visit.
